Cheap household beverages?

Recently I've been buying Gatorade and Orange Juice as my primary household beverages. Because I'm a student and I'm really trying to save money I'd rather find a cheaper alternative since I go through Gatorade and Orange Juice pretty regularly, and plain water is "boring". I pride myself on keeping well hydrated. But OJ at $1.50 a can and Gatorade (generic) for $1.99 for 64 oz. is getting costly. Can anyone reccomend some good cheap beverage alternatives. Maybe even some fruit juice mixes or such...It would probably help to buy this stuff at a bulk wholesale outlet but I don't have a membership.

Any cost cutters here in a similar situation. What have you found that works?

Frozen juice concentrates are not as expensive as the large bottled ones. Also you could try 'plain' water but get some lemons and squeeze a little lemon juice in to liven it up a bit, float the peel on top of the drink with some ice for that festive look.

I'd say water, you get used to it after a while and it's good for you to drink lots of it.

Crystal Light makes some decent powdered mixes.

Water. No matter what any company advertising hype says, there's nothing better for you.

True.

Kool-aid is pretty dang cheap too. It's prolly less then 30 cents for 2 quarts if you skimp a little on the sugar.

Ditto on the water. Sure, it's boring but nothing will keep you as well hydrated which is really important.

Coffee would be my first choice. My second choice would be coffee. And, when I really want something different, I go for coffee.

LOL@Russ.

I'd recommend Tang, and if you like it Kate and I can give you a ride to Costco to pick up a year's supply for $6. :)

Check out some of the powdered drinks @ Costco.
