cheap headphones question / recommendations

well right now i have a pair of sony mdr-xd100's, and i find them to be a bit lacking in quality, but i am not prepared to spend much for the time being. I use the headphones mainly for gaming right now (usually fps games only).

I was looking at the sony mdr-xd200's, they look pretty similar to the ones i have, but the specs are slightly different, so i wonder if it would be a worthwhile upgrade, or is there anything else similar around the range of 50bucks or less that would be worth upgrading to. thanks in advance.

You mean a headset, not a headphone?

Check out Plantronics GameComPro 1. It's around $60 USD, so should be cheaper in Canada.

thanks for all the replies, well i was planning to buy that zalman clip-on thingy for the mic, since i couldnt find a headset that looked like it was adjustable. looking for a very comfortable pair of headphones (want full-size headphones, so the iGrado i dont think will work) as priority #1.

Bored SysAdmin, have you used those Fostex headphones before, if you have, do you have any opinions?

thanks again.

I have the Fostex T20 and use them in my living room everytime my fiance needs to study, the sound from them is better than my home theaters speakers.
