Cheap HDMI cable?

Is there anywhere to buy 5' HDMI cable relatively cheap? Best Buy has them for like 50 bucks...which seems like a waste.

Monoprice FTW. Gotten lots of products from them. They kick ass.

Monoprice offers:

* 30-day Money back with no restocking fee. Easy return.

* Lifetime warranty on all cables and non electronic products.

* 1-2 years on electronics.

*Free lifetime tech support.

Also have cool how to and product review YouTube videos: http://www.youtube.com/Monopricecom

Like anything you buy from any place. Always a good idea to check it out for any defects or anything. Quality control can always goof. Good habit to form when purchasing items.

For quality cables at a great price, I'd recommend BlueJeansCable. If you want cheap decent cables, check out Monoprice. And if you want hi-end cables at a decent price, check out Amazon. You can check out eBay too, but you've got to filter out the shady cable dealers there.

Eh. With HDMI it's all the same as long as it gets to point A to point B as it's digital data like a usb cable sorta.

With Monoprice I don't see anything missing that the other brands have?

I wouldn't say they are any less than the others? Then again everyone has there own opinion on this. However you can read plenty of VS. articles where they throw Monoprice against others like Monster HDMI and there is no difference. You can do a quick "Monoprice vs" google search and see what pops up.

Is BlueJeans really worth it compared to Monoprice for HDMI? I don't see how? However to each his/her own.

depends on the application, getting a 6 foot cable to run from your TV to your cable box it wont matter, if you are running 100 feet of inwall from something to a projector then yes itll matter

I believe Cnet uses Monoprice for there HDMI cables when reviewing TVs.

I don't know if all Costcos use them. I heard someone say that there local Costco uses Monoprice for there display TVs.

What about this one with an Equalizer?

http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10240&cs_id=1024006&p_id=7698&seq=1&format=2

Also this one supports the Ethernet channel if you have hardware that supports it: http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10250&cs_id=1025002&p_id=6063&seq=1&format=2

This one has some good reviews: http://www.monoprice.com/products/p..._id=1024002&p_id=2894&seq=1&format=4#feedback

Looking at the various 50ft ones they seem to have good reviews too.

One thing that can affect performance is if you get a defective one. Which Monoprice will replace the cable and if that replacement doesn't work they will refund you.

I know HDMI.org and USA Customs are cracking down on alot of these "cheap" cable brands or no names for not complying to HDMI.org rules and certifications... They've been seizing a lot of stuff lately and burning them from what I read in the news and from my import friends...

I asked Monoprice & they make sure all there products are legit.

Just buy one of the higher quality ones from Monoprice then.

Well I'm sure Monoprice complies to the rules.

I agree - Monoprice stuff is legit... I was referring to other unknown ones... I bought a cheap HDMI 1.3 cable 4ft and that thing started giving me weird rainbow colors till I moved the cable in an awkward manner... then it went out on me... I went through 2 more and I gave up on them...

seriously, monoprice cables are ok, but they aren't THAT cheap anymore with shipping charge, 1 6fter is around $5, just get the 2 pack from buy.com for $5.99 shipped.

Well maybe if you are just getting HDMI cables. I usually get other items as well as the shipping is usually the same unless you add items with much more weight.

However I will keep an eye out when I just need a 6ft cable. Thanks.

Then again I think I have all the HDMI cables I need for now? I bought extras awhile ago on a weekend deal they had.
