Cheap easy snack idea

I was bored and craving a snack (or is that just two ways of saying the same thing?). Anyway, I had a craving for chocolate peanut butter pie and was WAY too lazy to go to the store, so I just made this up with stuff in my cabinets.

Don't knock it until you try it (and until you're willing to experiment with the exact proportions of the ingredients).

Mix this up in a bowl and eat it as-is (no heating or cooling necessary, unless that's your thing):

Peanut Butter
Cocoa Powder
Sugar
Milk

It takes some heavy mixing if you use chunky peanut butter, but it's good.

oops i was wrong about my puppy chow recipe. its actually : 2 cups chocolate chips
1 (15 ounce) box Crispix® or Rice Chex®
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup margarine
3 cups confectioners? sugar

Heat chocolate chips, peanut butter and margarine on HIGH in a glass bowl in microwave until melted ? mix well. Combine cereal and chocolate mix. Stir until completely coated. Place confectioners' sugar in a bag, add cereal mix, and shake to coat. Spread on wax paper. Let stand until set.

THIS RECIPE IS NOT FOR PUPPIES!

Sounds like diabetes in a bowl.

I'm trying to stay awake. I work late tonight, and I can't afford to go out and buy a Monster. I'm actually considering walking or riding my bike because I have neither gas nor gas money.

Fat (most of the calories in this "snack" are coming from it) is probably the worst thing to keep yourself awake.

try this: make some toast and put the butter on them then mix up some sugar+cinnimon sprinkle it on then profit!

How's that cheap?

I had the stuff on hand, and I'm not using the cocoa powder for anything else any time soon. (Somebody gave it to me and my girlfriend if I remember correctly.)

What's even cheaper is the pseudo-curry I make. (It's my own spin on both an American chili and an Indian curry.) A single container of spices lasts for several dishes, and the various ingredients I use (beans, onions, etc.) are MUCH cheaper than eating at a restaurant.

Don't be so sure that the most of the calories are coming from fat. Fat has more calories than sugar (9:4), but I use a LOT of sugar.

Not to mention.... I need FOOD. Eating SOMETHING is better than eating NOTHING considering that I haven't even arrived at work yet. I should be getting there at 10, which reminds me.... I have no car tonight. I better leave now.

I don't think that classifies as food; I think I might try it on crackers though...but then it'd just be easier to just get nutello.
