Cheap, Easy Cpu upgrade

I have a BP6 motherboard and I would like to upgrade my system.

A friend of my told me to get a Tualatin adapter from Hardware Cooling for $9.99. and a cheap Tualatin CPU off of Yahoo Auctions.

Anyone had any luck with these? I don't wanna waste my money or something that doesn't work.

i have not done it myself but i ahve a friend who has and he said it workd real stable and he even oced. i am not familiar with the bh6 but if iam ot mistaken the bh6 is a socket mobo and the one my friend got was a slot to soket tualatin adapter. good luck though.

It will work.. How much do you think a Tualatin will go for? I would think of $120 or so...

For that you can easily grab a Biostar ($55) nForce 2 chipset...And a 1700+(45)/2500+(92) and you would be around 120+

Now all depending on the type of memory you are currently running, if it's PC133, go for the adapter.
