Fry's ad this morning has PC133 256MB ECC stick of RAM for $109 and GQ (GoodQuality the name not a description) 5 pack with cases of CD-RW for $2.45 (.49cents each).

I think the name GQ stands for Great Quality, not Good Quality.

Your probably right, OPPS, doubt that it really is Great Quality though, but if it works, who cares...

I don't mean to sound like a Nit-Wit (I can't help it) But....

Where is this "Frys" place you are talking about?

Sorry to ask but I'm just curious.

Frys is a huge computer/electronics store located all over the West Side. I know that we have a couple of them in the LA area, and I think that they are also located in the bay area and San Diego. They are like Bestbuy but bigger and with more computer stuff.

The fact that it has ECC sounds nice but I take it that the Ram is generic. Is that true?

fry's ram that's on sale is always generic... trust me
What's funny is that one time a sales guy tried to trick me into buying more expensive ram because he said generic ram may have "mismatch"... i dunno, his own words.

there's couple of fry's up in the bay area, one in sunnyvale, san jose, campbell, fremont...

I hate Fry's. They suck so bad. Their sales reps try try to give you an expert advice using their brain as small as shark's.
