While at Office Depot looking at DVDs yesterday, I came across a couple deals on cd storage folders. One was a Fellowes 224 CD folder of fairly high quality for $24.95. Even better, someone had forgotten to take down the sign from when they were on sale two weeks ago for $19.95, so the manager gave me one at that price. Even the one at $24.95 was a deal, though - these go for $30 at Amazon and as much as $40 elsewhere. These are located in the disk storage aisle.

An even better deal was to be found on an endcap - a 96 cd folder for $4.88! They're only cheap plastic 3-ring binders in transparent neon colors, but sleeves alone normally run close to 2 bucks each, so I think this qualifies as a hot deal. The quality isn't the highest, but use the $10 off $50 coupon and you could have storage for 1056 CDs for $43.68+tax.

Careful about buying the cheap stuff. I bought a few different kinds of sleeves and found when I went to take my CDs out of some they stuck. With a pressed cd I just lost the silkscreening. With a CDR, not hard to imagine it pulling the surface off. Haven't been able to find anyone with that problem with Case Logic's stuff so I pay their high prices and don't worry.

Go ahead and get it, just check your CDs occasionally for 'stickage'.

personally, best quality on cd storage i found are from CD Projects

they make really high class looking and sporty cd cases at a very very comparable price, not to mention superb quality on the sleeves and cases themselves. Sure beat those nylon Laserlines or Caselogics, by far..

http://www.cdprojects.com/index2.html is their website, u can usually find these at local Bestbuy, Staples, Walmart, or similar stores.

I found a CDProjects CDcargo at Office Depot on Friday, Dec 16th for $3.88. This one holds either 48 cd's or 24 cd's and 24 covers. They had about 30 on their clearance tables in the back of the store. The store is located in Los Angeles in the Culver City area (I can't find the receipt).

Here's a photo of the case--they come in black or olive green:

BJ's Wholesale sells Maxell cases for $19.00 here. They are made by Maxell hold 200 CDs and have a nice 'leather-like' outside. Very well constructed with a nice medallion on the zipper. Plus, the case comes bundled with a car visor CD holder. I have a Case Logic case, a Fellowes case and a knockoff brand case (all 200+, for my 600+ PSX games) and would say the Maxell is just as good as the best.
