IP1500 is great inks are about $1 each.

Translation on isle 5 please!

The IP1500 (that's the printer) is great, ink (for the printer) can be purchased for about $1 (USD) from on line vendors.

Any othe rquestions?

Tom

I really can't recommend the 1500, the carts are just to small. The 4000 is great though and it has 5 individual carts that are pretty big. The 4000 is rather feature pack as well.

I can and that's why I did.

The carts are small and CHEAP and you only have to buy 2 I spend anywhere fot $.89 -$1.50 for the carts and I normally buy 10 of each and they last a long time. Nothing wrong with the 4000 but the carts are more expensive and I don't care to but 5 different colors.

Tom

The amount of ink that you get is a joke though.

IP1500:
6ml for black
2ml of each color

IP4000:
27ml of black
13ml per color

You won't need to refill as often with the IP4000. The 1500 is ok for text printing but photos and graphics aren't great on it. The IP4000 also has the direct cd printing which can be enabled.

The printhead on the 4000 is a lot better and photos look great.

1500 is perfect for text printouts, but not really good for quality pictures.
It really just depends on what you will use the printer for.

yes it does and they sell it at Staples and Officemax for $150-$200 usually when on sale.

thanks, man!

found a ip6000d for 49.99.

it's the shelf model. they threw in new ink for free. and since they didn't have any docs, software, or proof of purchase, i talked them into 2 yr service plan for free! :)

you guys should all enable the cd printing function that is built into all 'ip' series printers. i just picked up an american ip5200 and im already printing dvd's with it.

all info here, very easy to do.

the cd tray will set you back about 30 bucks though, but its worth it. go canon i thought they totally crippled the cd printing function for america but they didnt, they just hid it a little.
