there's not really much under £50 worth anything.
If your dad has a decent smart phone (not the super cheapy ones that are similar to basic phones), it's pretty much guaranteed that his phone will take equivalent or better pictures...

Maybe if you look around for used stuff? You might be able to pick up an older DSLR or point and shoot on ebay/craigslist.

None. There isn't much worthwhile in that price range. You'd be far better off going in together with you mom of a sibling on a better camera.

If you can go a bit over that, the discontinued Powershot A1200 was pretty well reviewed in its day.
