cheap, but not THAT cheap

I picked up an Emachines ET1810 http://www.emachines.com/products/products.html?prod=ET1810-01 at TigerDirect, when they had them for $190 shipped. List price, as you can see, is $300.

So I have this client, whom I've done some minor computer work for before, and I mention that I'm selling it, for $250. $50 off list price.

So this morning, said client calls back, and tells me that they are interested in the computer. Client asks what kind/size monitor the computer comes with. For $250? Are they kidding? They want a brand-new computer AND monitor for that price??? I had to inform them that it doesn't come with a monitor, and said that they wouldn't be able to find a brand-new computer with monitor for only $250.

Was I right or was I wrong? Can someone find me an OEM pre-built, that includes a monitor and a current OS (Vista or Win7, any edition except Starter), brand-new, for $250 or less?

Sorry, I did mean desktops only. I sort of remembered that netbooks and low-end laptops go for $300 or less. (Got my current single-core AMD laptop at WM on BF for $200, works great. And AMD, unlike Intel, has support for Virtualization on their lower-end chips as well as their high-end.)
