Cheap but high end PCI video card

I'm looking for a PCI video card that could be used to play games (hopefully higher end) that would be paired up with a 600MHZ PIII. This PIII system may be upgraded to a 1.4GHZ system in the future. Just looking for a good performing PCI video card that shouldn't be bottlenecked by the bus.

Any high-end PCI card would eb a waste of money IMO.

i can play HL2 on medium settings @ 1024x768 on my Apollo geforce fx5200
i think it was <$60
