Only thing I want is it to use screws and springs to secure it. I hate clips. Whats a good cooler with these features and isn't high priced?

The only coolers I know of that use the good old springs and screws attachment method is the Alpha brand coolers and they are not cheap. They are not as efficient as the heatpipe coolers either.

I suppose you could always mod a heatsink to get rid of the clips and replace them with screws. :p

Well I was messing with a HP a few days ago. I had to remove a HS to test another CPU. It was simple and it didn't feel like you was gonna break something trying to attach it back. Every time I use a clip based HS it feels like I have to put so much pressure on it to get it to snap in place, I keep thinking its gonna break something. I just think screw/spring is a better safer method.

I know what you mean but it's pretty hard to avoid clips nowadays. That being said the Freezer Pro 7 owns the budget category and the Mine for a little more.

I'd second that!

I'd third that. That being said, the "clips" on S775 HSF's suck. It's a good idea but not very we implemented. Very hard to tell what's going on when installing it with the motherboard already in the case.

omg the freezer7 pro has to seriously be the BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK. It performs almost on par with a scythe ninja, its dead quiet, and its dirt cheap. You can find them on sale most of the time too..

Only problem is its kinda big, and wont fit in cubes or small form cases. but if your not in the exclusion, id pick that up over any zalman.

Just got my Freezer 7 in. It looks solid and can't wait to install it. Waiting till after Xmas when I get my new case to install it.
