Too bad shipping is so brutal. You'll have to pay $8-10 even for these lightweight cables.

Don't suppose anyone has a free shipping code? (I know they have had some in the past)

I've ordered from them about a year ago(cap for car audio). I get their mail circular also. But the cap went out of stock as I ordered and they offered a free upgrade to another cap. I've been pleased with their service.

damn that's cheap. I remember a few years ago when I paid $30 for a 1m (name-brand) (not Monster) optical cable. And you'd pay at least that much for a plain S-video cable. Don't know if I'll get in on this deal or not though, I really don't have much use for that kind of cable now.... hmmm.

I ordered one of their Dayton Audio optical cables last spring when I ordered this subwoofer. Both were a great, great deal. And the people there were very helpful, especially the engineer I was transfered to when I had a question about the subwoofer.

The optical cable was out of stock and they had to ship it about a month later. That was my only negative experience. Otherwise, they seem like a nice, small shop when you call. I loved it.

I just ordered a 12" optical cable and a passive optical cable connector yesterday from partsexpress. It shipped today through ups.

I have bought a lot from them over the last two years. Their prices are great and they all sorts of neat clearance items.

I might pick up some of these cables over the weekend.

Thanks,
Jeff

They've also got a
25' Gold Plated S-VIDEO cable for $12.25. I was going to get a set from them, but instead wimped out and got a 25' Acoustic Research S-VIDEO cable from accessories4less.com for like $17 (opted for a brand name over a no name). I also looked for a 25' optical audio cable but couldn't find a cheap one, so I got a $17 25' AR subwoofer cable to use as a digital coax audio connection at the same time. Both cables work great when I want to watch DivX movies and run the cable from my PC to my 43" RP HDTV.

humm - at about $18 (cable and shipping), that's still cheaper then just getting a plane AUDIO OPTICAL cable $23 + shipping.

I'm assuming you can just use the AUDIO OPTICAL cable and not the S-video, without a problem ?

I just got a pre Xmas present and need an AUDIO OPTICAL cable - was shocked at the price Radio shack was charging. Anyone know of a cheaper online place to pick this up (just the AUDIO OPTICAL cable) ? or is the best deal out there ?

thx in advance

I agree. Even with the shipping these prices are still generally well below what you'd pay elsewhere.

wow, it's cheap.
My friend spent about $1,000 for the Monster Cables. :Q
He bought a THX certified Optical cable for $100 + tax. $90 + tax for a component video cable.
