I've been having troubles with my DLink dbt-120 which I picked up for $15 last year. It normally only was being used for my Apple bluetooth keyboard and trackpad. Well lately the trackpad has been dropping it's connection over and over again but worked fine on my MacBook Pro.
So instead of buying a new bluetooth adapter I ran into this guide: Link
I picked up the DC to DC adapter for $4 and the bluetooth module for another $4 total of $8.
It works flawlessly! A couple of crappy pictures:
Notice the crappy job of heatshrinking the tiny cables:
Now I need to find a clean place to place it in my case
