If you are looking for a cheap AM2 socket motherboard, then go over to ZipZoomFly and take a look at this one. I have not used it, but if you are on a tight budget, this might be an option for you (Link). It uses an nForce chipset and has on-board video to boot.

This MB sells for around $60 shipped at the other etailers so $45 shipped is a good price. This would be nice for a low cost build. You can pick up an AM2 Sempron 64 3000+ retail for $30 shipped at NE and DDR2 RAM prices are falling like crazy.
