Cheap aluminum cases?

I'm shopping around for a case and I've decided that aluminum would be outstanding.

ShopFSP has that aluminum case that was kicking around a few years ago under the Silverhawk and Landmark brands, only $29 + ship. 1.0mm aluminum and a removable mobo tray, unfortunately the thing has virtually no airflow with one obstructed 80mm intake in front and a funky sideways 92mm exhaust. Probably a loser, but if you're curious:

Unless I find some other leads, I'll either drop $90 on a PC-7B plus II (which ain't bad) or give up and get the Antec 300 for $50. That Rocketfish branded Lian Li tower is an option as well, on ebay for $110 - cashback. Any other suggestions?

I see someone got rid of their V1000B, didn't they LOUISSSSSS?
To the OP, I got my V1000B for about $100 shipped...found it in the FS/FT forums. Of course it was already slightly modified & that added to the costs, but saved me alot in the long run.

I could do a lot with that case. If your into mods and liquid cooling a plain jane case is the best to start with.

There's that best buy store brand aluminum case (rebadged lian li) that can be had for very cheap, easily moddable. People on XS are big fans of it

Sometimes you can find the old Antec 160 for cheap.

I love the look of that FSP case, just wish the backplate wasn't so oddly set up so you could easily cut a 120mm hole in there...guess you could cut smaller and set up an external fan, or door exhaust.

I really want to like that FSP case, its everything I want in a case except for the airflow problem. I doubt I can cut it and I'm using air, so its a real showstopper. Cheap though, $35 shipped after coupon.

Found another picture of it here:

That exhaust grill on that "FSP" case needs serious opening up for that housed fan to have any effect at all (just like one of the fans on the RFFT Rocketfish Full Tower... Luckily aluminum is not too hard to cut. Hard to find inexpensive aluminum cases any more. The Lancool series of cases have steel frames and aluminum skins. Some models aren't too expensive. find 'em under Lian Li on the Egg. The Ultra m998 isn't too overpriced for a mostly aluminum box.

Found a few mostly aluminum cases on the Egg for $50. (after rebate) + shipping. The Sigma Luna doesn't look too bad, but the customer comments aren't great. Quite a few others under $100.

Very impressive skills!

I think it looks a lot nicer than that Thermaltake case with a similar "open" design.

My options so far:

LL PC-7B plus II $90 shipped (newegg)
LL PC-8B $97 shipped (dell)
Rocketfish (LL PC-A71B) $95 shipped (ebay)
LL PC-K1B $95 (newegg)

A little pricey but those are all nice cases. Still, if somebody has an Antec 300 for $50 shipped again I might just get that. Thanks for all the help.
