hello, can someone recommend me a cheap 4k tv or monitor?
i dont need anything fancy. its just to get that 4k resolution for doing 4 excel sheets at the same time. i dont do games. would be a bonus if it can display amazing static photos too. are those Sekei any good for my needs?

1. Define cheap.
2. How will you connect to it? HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort? (AMD, Intel, or NVIDIA graphics?)
3. Do you need 4K to be 60Hz or 30Hz?
4. Do you want an 8-bit or 10-bit panel?
5. Do you want IPS (better color, slower pixels, poor contrast), VA (good color, good pixel response, great contrast), or TN (OK color, excellent pixel response, varying contrast) panel?

You need to be on a 9 series. A 950 should work fine, that will be the cheapest entry point.

If you have specific models you are looking at we can tell you whether they will do 4k60 but at $500... It might be challenging.

You need one that will do 4:4:4 chroma at 4k 60 hz to be suitable for what you want to use it for.

No, that just means that data transfer over the PCIe bus will be only half the speed it would otherwise be. And believe me, you won't notice the difference; most high-end cards don't show any difference between PCIe G2 and PCIe G3, let alone a 950.

In any case, you won't need to worry about compatibility. I used my GeForce 970 in an old X58 board (PCIe G2) for quite a while earlier this year, and it worked absolutely fine.

they say free returns as long as we pay shipping to korea. any idea how much that would cost? im thinking the Vizio is good enough for me. no way to get 4:4:4 within the $500

The Vizio 4K won't do 4:4:4.

thats true! i was disappointed when i read.
is there a 4:4:4 within $500 available in usa from a reputable retailer? i did see a nice 4:4:4 from sony on amazon but thats $800 :(

after more research, looks like the cheapest 4:4:4 panel is $670 from amazon for the Samsung 2015 JU6400
