Cheap 256GB SSD - what controller?

Ritek/Ridata 256GB SSD, 2.5", SATA and mini-USB.
Slow read/write sequential ratings, makes me wonder how many channels it has internally.

Is this a new design based on an older (Jmicron?) controller?

Would it be better to go for something like this:

With the Sandforce SF-1222 controller?

Edit: Wow, that Ritek 256GB drive, at Camelegg, says it's $699 at Newegg. When I looked at Newegg, it was only $419. If anyone thinks this is a hot deal, post it in that forum.
Camelegg says it has been following the price of this drive since June 2009. So it's obviously an older controller chip. I wouldn't be too surprised to find out it's Jmicron. If so, even at that price, it's probably not worth it.

Edit: Strange that this drive has been selling at Newegg for a year and a half, and it has ZERO REVIEWS??? Did Newegg delete the reviews because they were so bad?

Pretty sure it's JMicron. The SATA/USB dual interface thing is a giveaway, IIRC the only drives that ever really had that were JMicron based.

I would definitely go with the Sandforce-based drive, since it's less than $100 more. That way you know you're paying for something you can rely on.
