I would like an SSD to go with my new notebook which I'm gonna use for recording and signal processing during gigs.

It has to be at least 16GB and must be super reliable. I plan on bouncing all project data to an external as soon as I finish, but I don't want it dying in the middle of a session. Also it's gotta be stutter free. I'm not sure this will be an issue with what I do, any thoughts?

So far I've found this:

Any other suggestions?

From what I've read the MLC chip on the Intel X25 is good (fast and stutter-free), but its way too pricey and I honestly don't need that much space.

Thanks

AFAIK the only SSD that doesn't choke on writes to the drive is the Intel drive. I'm not sure if that would affect your music recording. Anyway, a normal drive is still reliable. Why exactly do you need an SSD?

Well mostly the quiet and low heat (making my comp even more quiet). Also I hear read speeds are much improved, which is pretty important right?

Hmm. I think RAMDisk might work better in this area, though it doesn't meet your minimum space requirement
