I've had a philosophy that you don't skimp on monitors (after all, this is the part of your computer you're looking at the most

). I never skimp and my monitors last me for years without complaint.
This monitor is .27 pitch and max refresh of 70 megahertz, with 1024x768 resolution. I've found that when dealing with cheap monitors, you can't really run the thing (to your satifaction) maxed out, so you're looking at probably 800 x 600 being the most usable mode.
Also, .27 pitch is maximum pitch. Often cheap monitors have a smaller dot pitch in the center of the screen and get larger when you work your way out. Realistally, you're probably looking at .31 pitch in the corners.... which would be another reason why you wouldn't want to run at 1024x768 (too blurry!)...
But the ultimate test is going down to the store and seeing it for yourself. Either that or shell out the $299 and by a Viewsonic A90f 19" flat screen monitor. I just picked one of these up and love it!
Buy one of these and you won't regret it. There's a $20 mail in rebate, plus a standard
3 year warrantee.
