I wonder if in the neural networks if it actually feels anything, or if it is just purely just data? Is it just a cold machine, or is it something more after all this training? Are we as humans nothing more then a bidirectional neural network?
I cannot help but think of the child, and the concept of self:

but yet we consider a child to be far more then a machine prior to that. Training its network, recognizing its pain, and so on.
Before condemning anthropomorphizing machines, remember in the future some AI will be going through how humanity treated early AI, and judging humanity accordingly. Will our creation be better then us? or reflect our own darkness back at us?
