Does anyone know what the numbers are on users that use these chat clients?
I am hearing ICQ is still the most popular and the one with the highest user count.

Is this true?

I don't see ICQ offering anything that AIM or MSN doesn't)

Damn! Beat me too it ;)

But seriously use trillian, you can be signed into all of those lists at once, and they each have their own configurations for the clients that have the same settings as the actual clients. (to make it more clear - the settings in the trillian AIM are the same in the actual AIM config menu)

That's only because ICQ came out before AIM.

I just use Trillian, since I have friends on all 4 major chat clients.

ICQ is still the best....it's the only IM that will let you send a message to someone who isn't online.

Yep, if the original network (ie ICQ, AIM, MSN) supports it.

I used ICQ since it was released, but switched to Trillian when I ran my FTP because I needed to communicate with all 4.

ICQ will let you send messages even if your friends are offline. I think the messages are routed to a central server first unlike AIM that is P2P .

I use ICQ, AIM and Yahoo.. I don't like Trillian.

They all have features that I like. ICQ used to be the best... The only thing good about AIM is how you can display pictures in the message box. Yahoo's voice features are the best..

I'm still using ICQ98. :p

You can send offline messages with Yahoo, also.

I use MSN only, it works well for what I need, and most of the people I talk to are already on it.
