Chassis fan won't work

I thought I'd just use my old p3's fan in my case since I don't have any case fan, but it won't work, I plugged it in the "chassis fan" connector on my mobo (epox 8kta3) but it won't work? it doesn't move at all..anything i'm missing here?

are we talking about the heatsink fan here? hope not as is not very substantial for case cooling.
to see if it's working why not try it on the power fan header should there be a problem with the case fan header?
