Chassis fan slows, setting off Asus Probe

Built my rig in Feb. and its run great since. This week though the Asus Probe started goin off and its my chassis fan. (I have a second chassis fan but its not connected to mobo) Since day 1 that fan has run about 1400-1450 RPM. lately its dropping off to 1000-1100 RPM. Asus probe threshold is set for 1200 (default).
Any ideas? is the fan just startin to go? Its the one that came with the case (Vantec Stealth 120mm) Should I be worried?

Some fans can blow the fan headers on the motherboard due to drawing such power. Sticking them on the PSU molex wires solves this problem.
