The hangover FAQ thread reminded me of this. I thought I'd share my experience with you guys. I don't know if this stuff is new or not, but I just started seeing commercials for it on comedy central late night. its a pill that you take when you start drinking, that prevents hangovers. No drinking lots of water, no avoiding combinations, nothin like that. Naturally I was a little skeptcal at first...but man, this stuff works like a charm. I don't get real bad hangovers, but I get them, and the next day, I was totally fine, this guy I work with tried it too, he normally gets really bad headaches, and was totally fine too. This stuff is a godsend...$30/40 doses is so worth it.

A dose is supposed to last 3 hours of drinking, or 6 drinks, but I drank from 10-3 roughly and had alot more than 6, and I was fine.

Yea, drink alot of water, which you have to remember to do when you're already drunk. This is easier, and you can do it before you drink.

And it's FREE. I usually come home and drink 3-5 brita pitchers of water and am fine.

It's funny when they advertise it though. They know their key demographic isn't watching the 6pm news, they're up at 3am because the bartender just kicked them out and there's nothing else to do.

You dont get a water bill? 3-5 pitchers is a LOT of water...I don't know if I could drink that much normally, let alone after I've been drinking all night. Plus, the times that I would need that are times I'm getting really smashed, and if you get that smashed, are you always gonna remember to drink that much water before going to bed?

Damn, I swear you guys enjoy making things harder on yourselves :p

I'm old enough now that getting "smashed" doesn't hold the appeal it used to, so it's not like a weekly occurance. When I do go out and get stupid, the first thing I do when I get home is hit up the salty snacks and my pitcher of water in the fridge, it's just a habit now :)

My water bill is CHEAP. ~$55 for every three months. For the entire house. 3-5 pitchers isn't all that much, at least in the pitcher I have (the older style round one). I drink 2 a day normally.

I just take some aspirin and drink a glass or two of water, no big deal.

Or I just spend the night at someone's house. For some reason, when I do that, I always wake up early and hangover free (relatively speaking).
