No, I'm talking about their checking and savings accounts.

I only have experience with thier credit cards, but here's my experiences:

Chase: My dad said no to an offer of thiers over the phone for my mom's name and my card got charged. (yeah, I don't understand that one either) I do not have a card from them, nor have I. When I called the number on my CC statement they couldn't find my name, but found my creditcard number attached to my mom's name. They tried to keep me signed up on the plan for my "Chase credit card" until I informed them that I didn't have one. They hung up.

Bank of America: Quickly took care of the above dispute. Good service, quickly gave me a new card number when I asked.

Citibank: Doesn't seem quite as good service, but not bad. They keep sending me offers for new cards with much worse rates than the one they already issued.

I choose Citibank.

why the negativity towards Chase?

Truthfully, I don't think there's that much difference between them. But I worked at the helpdesk for Chase for a while and would like to never speak to another Chase employee again, if possible.

I have credit cards from all three... but I really have no preference between them except for the differences in the cash back

I got a BOFA checking account recently. Their service has been top notch, they have tons of locations and using their promotion codes, I got $50 to open the account and $15 to sign up for online banking. And, with direct deposit, the account is totally free.

BTW, if you go to BOFA's website, a little message box will often pop up asking you if you want to chat with a representative. If you do this while setting up a checking account, you can often get them to activate special promotions for you. For example, you can get the first 50 checks free or something. Obviously, YMMV, but don't hesistate to say "well, bank XXX offers YYY, what can you guys do to match it?"

I chose BoA in SoCal, they have about 20 times as many ATM locations as Citibank. Free checking with a minimum $500 savings account balance. Their online bill-pay system works really well.

Chase has me hooked...the only thing I don't like is during the account setup, they try and sell you stuff, which they are fine if you politely decline. I've had 0 issues, and the online banking is not only free, but very handy! I'd say Chase for sure! Can't beat free!! :p

We've been with Chase for a long time, no issues..in fact called up today because I tried to withdraw money from an ATM about a month agoand it failed, but yet they took the money out of my account anyway..it was quickly resolved

depends on where you live. In west LA there are like 2 citibank branches, 0 chase branches, and 100 BofA

Excellent experience with BofA for the last couple years.

The only thing tempting me to switch to Chase is the fact that you can't throw a rock in downtown Chicago without hitting one of their branches or ATMs. The frigging things are everywhere.
