Chase Rewards

I noticed a couple of months ago that there was an extra $100 in my rewards. If I click redeem, it has options for statement credit, but there's no way they just gave me $100? But I haven't seen anything that said that it was just BS or something. Like one of the redeem options is $100 Statement Credit, applied within the next 1-2 billing cycles.

Anyone know about this? I'd love to apply $100 towards my bill.

Yeah, and you can't get $250 statement credit, you can only get a check. A bit ridiculous..I'm not sure why they do it that way.

So it's not joke, I could really get 2x $50 check or the $100 statement credit?

Why would they give $100 to someone who just recently joined and has a $500 limit card? My actual rewards from purchases is a little over $15 in 5-6 months, so +100 out of nowhere is very significant relative to my shit limit and less than baller-like spending.

Towards the end of last year, they sent the same damn Chase Freedom offer like every other day in the mail. Finally I got sick of receiving so many of them (sure everyone gets cc offers in the mail, but damn they were spamming) and wanted a CC anyway that I just signed up. Damn straight. I guess the $100 offer thing wasn't well advertised as I never seen it out of all the crap they sent me.
