I signed up for the service for a $20 check. I have two cards through Chase, but I thought I was signing up for it on another card. Anyhow, because of that, I missed it, and it ate up most of that $20 before I called in today.

I called to cancel this card and the service with it, they offered to just get rid of the charges. I said fine (I'll cancel later). They said I had to call another number to cancel the Fraud Detector service.

So I call the other number. I tell them that I'd like to cancel the service. All they require for me to cancel the service was my name and address. No account number. No mother's maiden name. No security word or last four of SSN.

Kinda funny, isn't it? I only realized as I was hanging up.

Oh well, I can't complain. I only signed up for the free money. It looks like I might get another $8 free, as the lady said that she would credit back the month (without me asking), though the other guy already credited me.

That is all.
