I have Charter Cable. (which may soon change because I'm getting pissed off)
TV-- Panasonic 50PX50U 50" Plasma HD (Paid $4k in Dec/05)......
I have Basic, Digital & HD channels and pay about $60.00 per mth. I cannot recieve PPV or special channels such as HBO or Showtime, etc because I have a Cable Card that inserts into the back of the set....................... Cable Card= No need for the crappy cable box they give you which is great cause I hate all the premium channels anyway since they show the same movies 100x a mth that I've already seen.
Now all has been well most of the time with the Digital and HD channels as they come in perfect. As of recently the HD channels go in and out all day and sometimes both Digital and HD are both out. Right now I cannot view any Digital or HD channels!!!!!
I just got a notice last week that Charter is going to raise their rate to around $67.00 (almost exactly a $7.00 increase each mth for the service I get)
Is there anything I can do to complain to get a mth or two free because of the problems? Or am I just going to have to suck it in?
I would love to switch to Direct Tv or some other Dish service but I really dislike the BOX and the LAG between swithing channels. You hit channel up and it takes like 5 seconds to switch the channel (you know what I mean)
PS: To all the people that don't know any better about cable cards..... You get "ALL" the HD channels without a DAMN cable box no matter what the cable company wants you to believe
