There was a program that someone mentioned here in the last several weeks that would automatically remember your network connections for internet using an eithernet DSL connection and then automatically switch to dial up modem. If you took a laptop from say work on the DSL to home on the dial-up. That was a mouthfull. lol. I know how to do it under connection in Internet Explorer, but it is for 3 clients that I just set up DSL in their office. I though I would try and make it easy on them.

In most MS apps that require access to the Internet, ie IE and Outlook, you can configure them to use the LAN and if there is no connection present to use a dial up connection.

But, you basically answered your own question.

You're right. What was I thinking. lol - I know a couple of them have AOL and that requires a little more, but I can cure the Outlook and Explorer people pretty easily.

I use a cable modem and a dial-up just in case of a problem,(dial-up uses juno). To switch i just tell win2k to disable the lan (takes less than 1 min to do) and then the dial-up kicks in automatically.
