Charms appear when I move the mouse to the right while I am in the middle of game

I purchased a new Lenovo Y580 laptop with Win 8. I'm more comfortable in the Win 7 environment as I am working with Word, Excel, PPT, and Access files. My son suggested installing Pokki (sp?) as a way to "mimic" the start screen of Win 7 and it works fairly well. However, another annoyance is the charms menu.
I downloaded Microsoft Mah Jong Tiles and while in the middle of the game if I move my mouse from mid screen to the right (not close to the edge of the screen, the charms menu appears and the game is paused. I have to fool with the touchpad to get back into the game where I have to hit resume to resume playing. The charms menu appearnace may happen 2-3 times in the space of 2 minutes and gets rather annoying. I searched the internet for a program to remove the charms bar, however, it did nothing to change the charms bar appearances during my game.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Sounds like edge swipe except you said the motion does not start at the edge.

I'd try disabling Edge Swipe anyhow.

How to disable Edge Pull:

2) Edge Pull was making me crazy while using my W8 laptop's touch pad. Unwanted Metro or Charm stuff was popping up all the time and I didn't even know why. Even with the Hot Corners disabled by Classic Shell the Edge Pull was still functioning and popping stuff up seemingly at random. Edge Pull can be turned off by editing the registry. Make a backup before you tinker around in the Registry. After getting Classic Shell running, go to Start/run and type regedit. Setting the value to zero disables Swipe:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Synaptics\SynTPEnh\Zone Config\TouchPadPS2\Top Edge Pull] "ActionType" =dword:00000000

Repeat for each of the 3 remaining edges (left, right and bottom)...

Swipe feature is now disabled! Life with W8 is getting better!

Note: With Hot Corners and Swipe disabled you can still get to the Charms Bar by hitting the windows key and "c".

Are you sure the game is played in full-screen mode, not windowed full-screen?
