If you think it's bad in Charlotte, try living just outside of it. Monroe, NC is pretty dull.

2 hrs to the mountains, 3 hrs to the beach, pro football, pro basketball, minor league baseball, nascar, best college basketball state in the usa. Plenty of bars/clubs, just need to know where to go. I can think of worse places to live. If we could just get rid of all the yankees that move here.

That's where it really gets you. Because in theory NC should be a great state to live in to do stuff.

I go to uncc, but I don't like to get drunk or do drugs like many of the others.
Education is pretty damn good here. I just want some freaking money, that's all for now.

I've lived in NC all my life (8 years in Charlotte) and plan to move out of state in the near future. FWIW, Charlotte has gotten much better in the last few years, but is still lacking.
 
O yea I have to say the police and the traffic sucks bad in Charlotte. Lights are not in sync and they don't fix it. Some places have no sensors where they need it.
The air seems good, but I heard it isn't good quality.

traffic does suck. Police suck everywhere. I have some friends who are policemen so I'm set in Charlotte as long as it's not a dwi. Get to know a couple if you can. This is good advice for anyone.
