Selma Blair Not Returning to Anger Management After Dispute With Charlie Sheen

Selma Blair will not be returning to FX's Anger Management after a "heated battle" with Charlie Sheen, Lionsgate has confirmed.

"We are confirming that Selma Blair will not be returning to Anger Management and we wish her the very best," the studio said in a statement.

Sheen no longer wanted to work with Blair, who plays his onscreen therapist, after she complained about his work ethic to the show's executives, according to our sources.

Earlier in the week, our source, who admitted things had "gotten ugly" between the two stars, said that Sheen doesn't have the exclusive right to fire anyone, but noted that the actor "certainly can make production impossible."

Anger Management, which is currently shooting its second season, received a 90-episode order from FX after its first season, but has experienced a decline in the ratings in its sophomore outing.

Pretty much anything that gets into Sheens orbit is sucked in until it crashes and burns.

After he burned that slut Farrah Abraham, I'm giving him a pass :)

hey, you desperate guzzler of stagnant douche agua;

I truly do not recall giving you permission to globally reveal any communication between us. congrats on surviving your lobotomy and an even bigger congratz on the recent attempt at porn.

your daughter must be so proud.

please send my number to middle earth and if allowed, eagerly follow it into said abyss and slam the door behind you. the world will collectively sigh as the pungent memory of you vanishes into the pedestrian troposphere of lame-suck and zero-life.

oh and I'm sure they'll wave the cover charge when they see your tranny-boobs and five o'clock shadow.

bye! cs.

Charlie Sheen is that show. If that girl has to go... I think it makes the show better, she's insufferable on screen.

Good. What do people not understand about him being the boss? You don't talk shit about the star of the show. If you don't like having a bit part on his show, feel free to leave. Did she think she was going to get something accomplished by doing this?

People hate on him, but hes nothing but successful.

From a money perspective hes one of the most successful TV actors in the history of television. He made a shit ton during the time he was on Two and a Half Men. After being fired he got a settlement that could be worth up to $125million(depending on syndication numbers). Then he got Anger Mangement where he gets paid $700k a week(thats $70million for the entire 100 episodes) + has 20% of the back end which could be worth up to another $75-200million(only gets up to $200million if FX picks up another 50 episodes). All that while playing himself.

Bet yeah, she got fired but with full payoff of her contract.

He may be the most successful TV actor in history, but that was mainly for 2 and a half men.

Now he is on FX lol. Not many give a fuck about what Charlie Sheen is doing now. I don't remember the last thing I watched that casted him. He had his moment of infamy with the whole blow-up/meltdown, now it's old news and most don't even realize he is even on a show any longer.

I dunno, he still has that twitchy style that ruined 2.5 men in the later seasons. It seems a little better but still noticable. I enjoy the banter between his patients much more than the interaction between him and his emotionless ex wife. I didn't mind Selma Blair's character at all. She looks good for her age and wore plenty of skimpy outfits.

I liked her in movies, as a foil or villain.

If the show is about Charlie being a douche then I guess you have to let him get away with it.

Yep, the twitch wouldn't surprise me if he just snapped in half one day and then kept going.

Each year he looks a bit more mummified to.

Patients definitely best part of the show.

I agree Selma Blair really doesn't have it going on as an actress.

But flying into Charlie Sheens orbit clearly is just as dangerous as flying into the event horizon of a black hole.

His show sucks anyway.

Yup, it's ratings have been dropping since it started. People originally tuned in just because it was his first show after his meltdown, but this might be another dead end for Charlie.

“Anger Management” initially got off to a great start. It broke a ratings record with 5.74 million viewers on its series debut night and ranks as the most-watched sitcom premiere in cable history. Plus, in its first full season the show averaged a very respectable 3 million viewers per episode. But season two has been tanking big time, averaging just 1.25 million viewers. The most recent episode had barely over one million viewers. Houston: we have a problem.

If the rumors are true that she questioned his work ethic then it was colossally stupid on her part.
