Charlie, Johnny and The Devil

Charlie's tale of Johnny and the Devil's visit to Georgia just played in my rotation list again.

Got me to thinking about the two. Johnny's bit is more traditional or bluegrass style which is fine. The Devil's seems more progressive and dramatic, less mainstream. Reminds me a lot of Jean Luc Ponty, which is my preferred style.

I thin he should have kept the fiddle of gold and claimed the Soul.

Hey, there was another song about Georgia, you know the one about when the lights went out and the big bellied Sheriff askin' 'Why'd ya' do it?'

Personally, I prefer the fiddlers.
