Heh, I think it's just a humor piece. But I don't doubt that NV fantasizes about egging him, or worse. Keep in mind though, that we're talking about someone who showed up at an Intel IDF one time, dressed in a head-to-toe bunny suit (rabbit suit, not fab suit), and then proceeded to interview the Intel CEO. I don't know that eggs would have that much effect on him...

I find it implausible that someone would just happen to be carrying around a combination of Coke and Mentos, ready to unload into someone's face. The Coke+Mentos thing is this geeky Internet meme -- the combination causes a chemical reaction that releases a jet of foam. I don't know that they even have Mentos in Taipei or in whatever country Charlie is from.

So I just interpreted it as geek humor.

Charlie has been trying to rip apart Nvidia for a while now. His latest article accuses Nvidia of cheating with latest drivers in Futuremark apps, when Futuremark themselves actually told Charlie that Nvidia was not cheating. Actually TOLD him. And he ignored it completely.
NV just needs to submit a driver to Futuremark for approval.

BTW: The "loading his coke bottle with Mentos" got me laughing. I was picturing him doing that. LMAO.

Totally different subject, but does make the story funny.

edit: Charlie is hard on everyone - is the inquirer. Actually I thought the story was a comment on the stress being felt by nvidia pr in this world of slowing economies.

If Perez was really a bodybuilder like the article claimed, I was more imagining Charlie tripping over his own feet backing away and possibly peeing his pants.
