yeah they only have a season break sometime summer for a while,
and then back to preseason games... for warmup, invitational tournaments...

then back to the long long season again...

thats why they are so highly paid... one injury they get through the season can cause them the entire career

Who cares?

Real Madrid is far better with all the Diva players they have, including that overhyped blonde kid from Man U. (I won't mention his name as I hate his vanity).

What does Real Madrid have to do with the Charity Shield?

I'm paying for it. $25 CDN. Will first watch Real Madrid annihilate Thailand and then Charity Shield right away.

Pretty much. The French players at Arsenal barely had a break. They were at the FIFA Confederations Cup soon after the season was over. Next summer, many star players will have almost no break because of Euro 2004.

Check your sig. You owe me a beer!

You wanna bet again? ;)

BTW, who will be the replacement for Veron? Man U lost badly against Sporting last week but they had Barthez, not Howard, as goalie.

Tim Howard kicks ass!

10 months out of the year in europe. Most countries have their own leagues and then champions of those leagues have european championship games and country vs country leagues also :D

Soccer players deserve EVERY cent they earn. Those guys play their butt's off. Even American players don't do as much work as them (except baseball players but its a low impact sport...even thats debateable)

Lookin foward to gettin a Cap of it in the mornin :D

Hey Ndee, I am moving Apts soon, so I will be kinda up in the air for a while, but if you still want to make our trade of Swiss chocolate for Man U matches, Im up for it. Let me know if you need me to record on DVD+ or DVD- and I will encode the matches in PAL for you so you can enjoy the whole Man U tour and the Charity shield in DVD :)

I don't think it affected them too much. But they also sold Veron to Chelsea this week. It'll be interesting to find out who will take over the right midfield.

Ferguson really knows how to pick great players. Bellion was incredible in the US tour. So was Tim Howard.

Come on Man U :D

I hope our midfield holds up now we have lost Veron & Beckham.
I would like Fergie to give Tim Howard a game this afternoon, he looks pretty good on the American tour.

It really does seem weird playing football in weather like this though. I bet the players won't enjoy it too much.

Real Madrids tour of Asia, they sold 30,000 tickets for training, and people were paying £300 ($450) for tickets to the matches.
