Charging laptop batteries?

Must be a faulty battery then...

My laptop's batteries stay on the power all the time thats connected to my laptop...I do admit they leak though...thats only because my laptop sucks now (Sony 1.2GHz PIII-M, 256MB RAM, 30GB HDD). The thing's got crap on it and the CD drive on the dock won't read my Windows XP disk so I can't format it 🙁
