Charging for product photography

I am starting to do product photography for a few clients. I have no clue how to charge for it. We're talking many different kinds of items of all shapes and sizes. Any pricing pointers are mucho appreciated. Thanks!

What kind of items are we talking about? Lots of little things, or a few big things?

It will vary widely. This will probably be an ongoing thing.
I just need to figure out some kind of formula.
I have no idea what it normally costs, so I don't have a starting point.
