I have bluetooth gps reciever that has only a mini-usb connector for power (and data). It's rated at 5v and 850ma. My cellphone also takes a mini usb but it;s adapters rated at 5v and 550ma. So.... i can use the adapter from my gps iwht my phone right? The problem would be if i used my phone adapter with my gps unit?

It would work. But I've had a problem before when my HTC Wizard (T-Mobile MDA) wouldn't charge if the battery was out with the Motorola V3 Charger. It needed the orginal charger to start up the charging connector or something.

But if I had some juice left and I used the Motorola V3 Charger, it would work fine, just slower charging.
