This is one of the oddest turn of events I've ever seen in show business.. of course 1980s Michael Jackson to 2005 Michael Jackson takes the cake, but at the rate he's going Chappelle could still catch up

The pressure of delivering more hit episodes has made him crack. He has all this pressure and alot of the line. Not an inviable position.

Who says he's "insane"? Maybe he's just depressed?

Depression is a real illness, along with all other mental health issues.

Why South Africa??

Thats what I was thinking

He did some comedy down there, and someone said "That guy's just CRAZY!", so they locked him up.

The RSA has some excellent healthcare facilities that rival anything you can find in the US . . . if you've got money.

I picked up amebic dysentery in Thailand and then traveled to Singapore. It took less than an hour to see a doctor ($80 wrong diagnosis . . . granted I agreed). Two days later I traveled to Jakarta, Indonesia. It took less than an hour to see a doctor ($40 right diagnosis). While in the waiting room, I met a guy that said he had been waiting months to see the same doctor.

Now if Chappelle was in a hospital in Somalia . . . I would be worried.
