Not at all. I have huge amounts of disrespect and disgust for people that don't respect their spouse.

In my opinion, no. She vowed herself to your dad.

I don't agree with it. What else should I say? MY Gramma remarried and to me that was extremely disresepectful to my grandfather. The new guy moved into the house that my grampa spent his entire adult life building and rennovating.

I thought that the vow was typically, "until death do us part" in which case the vow would be broken.

The only thing that I've seen go against this was my best friend's wedding. I was the best man, so I was close enough to hear the slight difference in the sermon, so most of the family heard it.

When it got to the point where he says "as long you both may live" he said "as long as you both may love". If that's not a way to just cheapen the whole thing and give an easy way out, I don't know what is.

But still, assuming the marriage was completely traditional, there is no reason to think she shouldn't be completely free to date after 2 years.

I would agree that dating a month or two later would be disrespectful, but at the same time, she is entitled to enjoy the rest of her life as well, and I think plenty of time has probably passed for that.

You have some serious issues that need to be resolved.

You didnt know her Dad at all, you have no idea how her father felt about that situation so you should just keep your opinion to yourself.

It's called life. People express opinions. Deal with it.

VERY serious.
You have some resentments against your grandmother SO SEVERE that you're wiling to condemn a perfect stranger in a situation you don't know ANYTHING about because you haven't gotten over the fact that you think she didn't love your grandfather as much as she should have. I wonder if your parents somehow fostered this opinion in you or if you're this fvcked up on your own. At any rate you should probably talk to someone about this, no reason to let her die without resolving your issues. That being said it shouldn't be us, and grow the fvck up.

Cheers.
