This has been one of my favorite planes for a long time. It's the XB-70 Valkyrie.

A very awesome plane that took advantage of something called "Compression Lift" to increase the max speed to around Mach 3.

Old plane too... Late 60's right?

I can't wait to see what's been under development for the last 10 years that we don't know about. Should be some exciting stuff.

IIRC it was slated for development in like 1957, then it was cancelled in 1960, brought back, then killed by Kennedy in 1961.
