Grrrr.... Here's my story.
Bought Radeon 9000 pci, installed, worked perfectly.
2 days later, boot up computer and monitor give errors. Unplug pci card and run off the on-board video which works perfectly. Decide to take my card back.
Drive for one hour to get there. Wait in the damn line for 1 hour, they check my card say it is stuffed then give me a new one.
Get home 3 hours later!!! What a waste of a saturday. Plug new card in.
Works fine..... for 20 seconds!
Wierd fuzzy crap on screen, can barely see whats happening.
Try card in other pci slot, notice the heatsink it burning hot after just 2 minutes of use. And there's no way I'm going back there today. It's already 3pm, bleh....
Does anyone know of this problem? Major overheating causing fuzziness. It starts ok but after 30 seconds its just starts getting worse and worse until the monitor shuts itself off. Of course of works fine off the onboard video so it;s not my pc and I tried the card in my other pc and it did the same thing.
Such a crisis for poor me 🙁 Any advice that might help would be great.
