Hi, I'm wondering if there is a way to change the color of the font that is used on my Windows XP desktop icons. Right now, the color in the icon title is basically white with a little bit of dark shadowing, but I have a light-colored desktop, so if I can make the font a dark color, it would makes things much easier to read. I tried doing this through the Display settings in Control Panel, but I can't find anything.

Any ideas? Thanks :)

Display, Appearance, Advanced, then Item, then Icon and select font, size and color. No 3rd party ware needed.

But my color selection is grayed out... is it not supposed to be?

Ok if I set it to Small icons or Tile icons it works fine, but not on large icons, which I would prefer. Is there some Active Desktop BS setting I have to ahcnge somewhere? Thanks

You can do it in spades with Microangelo by Impact software.

Doesn't matter what size icon you use. Ooops! Impact is now Elcipsit or something like that. :)
