Changing Vista Ultimate logon

Hi All,

I have Vista Ultimate installed. Currently I have to select a user and log onto the system. I run BOINC and we have recently been having a few electrical stabilty problem, so the machine switches off and then starts up when the power comes back. If I am not there to log on, no processing is done. I could install BOINC as a service, but would still like to know how I can do an auto log on like you can with XP and Win 2000.

Also, how do I get rid of the security thing that stops Vista starting some programs without admin intervension.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Run "control userpasswords2" and uncheck "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer".

It should prompt you for a user name and password to use for auto-logon.

Thanks, that was the dialog I was looking for (for user log on). Just could not find. Sorted it out.

Now about the security setting thing?

Thanks once again!!!
