Thanks for the reply.
I'm a bit confused though by what you mean by "video".
Do you mean various file file TYPES (like avi, mpeg, wmv, and/or codecs)? Or specific video FILES (like pr0n_037.avi?)
If that is what you mean, then I still don't understand why the sliders in the Overlay tab of the display advanced control panel would be greyed out. Aren't they there so you can adjust overlay settings that will come into affect whenever a video file that DOES support overlays is played back?
Or do you mean video playback SOFTWARE? I don't think you do, but this wouldn't make much sense either. I'm using Media Player and Quicktime primarily, and they seem to presume that you have overlays adjusted the way you need to, since there is no way (to my knowledge) to adjust brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, ect. default levels, and no way to change those video settings while those applications are playing in plugin mode (annoying).
Or do you mean by video CARD? I'm pretty sure my video card should support it (overlay adjustments), since it's in the driver after all and it's a fairly recent/powerful card, and also it's mentioned in a few online manuals. It doesn't say anything about why the overlay sliders would be greyed out though... the only thing it says is that you can only make overlay changes for your PRIMARY display... and since I only have one monitor and one display adapter installed on my machine, I would presume that my system is configured so my ONLY display is my "primary display".
Any clarification, or other ideas? Thanks.
