Changing user name in eBay

I just signed up for eBay to buy a few spare hard drives. The user name I signed up with is dumb, something I thought up on the spot...

I noticed that it can be changed. Is there any reason why I should not change it? Any downside?

you can change your name but it won't be instantaneous. It will take ebay a few days at least to completely change it over. If it's a new account, just create another one. It will take the same amount of time

it was pretty quick when I changed mine. no reason not to. it will show an icon next to your new name for a while though to indicate that you've changed it.
