I have a server that I am upgrading that I use for web and game servers. It is a Dell PowerEdge SC1435. It currently has an opteron 2212 HE. (2.0Ghz Dual core) It is running Windows Server 2003 x64 enterprise edition.
I want to upgrade it to two Opteron 2220 (2.8Ghz dual core.) If I did this would I have to reinstall Windows? I have done something like this on Vista, which worked fine, but never Server.
Also, is the difference between a HE and non HE only power consumption?
