I THINK the correct procedure is:
1) Uninstall old nvidia drivers
2) Reboot into safe mode and run driver cleaner?
3) Switch cards
4) Boot up and install ATi drivers
It's been a while since I've been here. So if someone could point out if I'm doing something wrong.
The card in question is a Sapphire HD 4870 512mb that my uncle bought me, replacing a bfg 8800gt 512mb.
