Changing the start menu logo in 2K

Has anyone successfully changed the start button logo in Win2k? I've used Resource Hacker on Explorer.exe but that either corrupts the file or the new icon simply doesn't appear. I've checked several sites, but I can't even get consistent information on the icon side (16x16 or 25x16) or the number of icons in the EXE (there seems to be only one).

Also, I know about Tclock, but I'm curious if you can directly change it within Explorer.

Can anyone help me?

Yes, I've changed it using Object Desktop/Object Bar from stardock.com. Not free, but *very* nice.
